Overview & Reviews
In an attempt to revive Monte Carlo's performance image, Chevrolet adds a supercharged SS version for 2004. The LS gets new 17-inch aluminum wheels, and there are a couple new appearance packages, Sport and Winner's Circle, available on the LS and non-supercharged SS.
- Spacious interior, low sticker price, strong acceleration with supercharged V6.
- Mediocre performance on non-supercharged models, bland interior with cheap materials, no passenger side-impact airbag.

one great car - 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By finallygotone - October 9 - 11:09 amAfter changeing the rear rotors and getting the DEXCOOL out of it, I have only one complaint, all the jaums look like they were painted in an old garage, dull as they can be!

Love my MC Supercharged SS - 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Lori B - September 16 - 10:13 pmI absolutely love this car. My 6th MC and have a 2007 SS ordered but it is nowhere near a pretty as this one. MCs have been overlooked by GM and not given the attention they deserve. They feel solid, safe and really run. I have done nothing in 43000 miles except put in gas and change the oil. Only drawback has been the premium fuel with the supercharged model. I had a 2003 yellow MC before this superchared 2004 and strangers would walk up to me and tell me what a beautiful car I had. A lot! I can barely stand trading it in. I like the feeling I have while driving it. I truely hate GM for abandoning it. I have been looking at Hondas and Camrys if we cant deal on the 2007 MC.

By Waltm - September 2 - 8:33 pmI really like this car, its roomy, responsive, and has some serious torque to it when you have to get on the gas. I like the sound system, I like the leather, I love the exterior design. All around an awesome car.

needs more power - 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By pete333 - August 28 - 10:00 amMy experience with this car has been great. The only exception being that you simply cannot find any performance enhancing parts for this car. However, the nascar enthusiest may be dissapointed. If you are looking for a great everyday ride and are not into the "performance thing" this is the car. It has exceptional handling, a killer body, is good on gas, and is comfortable (front and back seat if you know what I mean). One last thing; I recommend the XM radio and, the supercharger; it was a good start towards performance but in my opinon still not enough for a car that looks like its doing 100 Mph. while parked.

First Time Owner - 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By MBlack17 - August 27 - 2:00 amI recently purchased a 2004 Monte Carlo due to having bad luck with a Toyota (2 new engines and 1 transmission). I was very pleased first off with how GM was able to get me out of my lease, which still had 2 years on it, and with minor penalties. I have loved this car since I got it. It has a wonderful, smooth ride, and nice acceleration. The gas mileage isnt bad, but I am used to a 4- cylinder. I was also very pleased with the way it handles on snow, I felt so secure and safe. I would recommend this car to anyone, it is over all a great car for anyone single to a midsized family.

Excellence = Monte Carlo Supercharger - 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Supercharged Lady - July 21 - 2:00 amA striking car that get 2nd glances and positive comments from both sexes and all ages. Reasons for choosing this car ... I was drawn to the gorgeously designed 2004 Supercharger engine and body, no other car in its class had as many useful features or as much style. No other make of car this size offered the design features this car has ... absolutely beautiful.

2004 Monte Carlo Pace Car - 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By novaracer63 - July 16 - 5:01 pmJust bought my 2004 LS that was the original pace car at the NASCAR Races in 04. She had 54, 000 original miles on her.......Took a long trip over Christmas and averaged 34 miles to the gallon....very impressed. Having front wheel drive was also a plus since I did sell my Suburban for this car. Locally owned and that person purchased directly from the woman that owned it right off the Chevy Lot. (Did notice there is some kind of noise in either the steering column or in the left front end...any ideas what it could be....all the maintainence has been done prior to my ownership of the car.)
